Consecutive years winning a playoff game in Oklahoma High School Football - Dale Condict

Updated: Nov 12, 2018

On Friday, November 9, 2018, not only did Wagoner Head Coach Dale Condict break the Oklahoma State Record in Oklahoma High School Non 8-Man Football by winning 10+ games in a season for the 9th consecutive years at the same school, he also won a playoff game for the 14th consecutive season at Wagoner. That is also a State Record.

Coach Condict has been at Wagoner since 2005 and has won 4 state titles and has been to the playoffs every season and has never lost in the 1st round. He broke the record previous owned by Ada great Larry McBroom who won 13 consecutive years in the playoffs from 1983-1995. McBroom coached at Ada from 1980 to 1995 and 2000 to 2003.

You will notice that there is one coach on the list twice. Longtime Clinton coach Mike Lee was the Red Tornado coach from 1990-2013. Coach Lee took his team to the playoffs all 24 years of his time at Clinton and only lost in the 1st round once in 2002. Ada defeated Clinton that season 21-20 in 2 overtimes. Lee's two streaks were split (12 and 11 years) by that defeat, otherwise, Mike Lee would have had the longest streak at 24 years!
